The mechanism underlying nitroxyl and nitric oxide formation from hydroxamic acids - PubMed » HXs under oxidative stress release HNO, but can be considered as NO-donors provided that HNO oxidation is more efficient than its reaction with other biological targets. Pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov
Photocatalytic hydrogen evolution over cyanine-sensitized Ag/TiO2 » Sensitization of TiO[2] by dyes such as cyanine and their derivatives is used as a technique to improve potency for the production of hydrogen gas as an alternative green fuel. These dyes shift the spectrum of TiO[2] from the UV region to the visible… Ncbi.nlm.nih.gov
Reliable Predictions of the Thermochemistry of Boron−Nitrogen Hydrogen Storage Compounds: BxNxHy, x = 2, 3 » Thermochemical data calculated using ab initio molecular orbital theory are reported for 16 BxNxHy compounds with x = 2, 3 and y ≥ 2x. Accurate gas-phase heats of formation were obtained using coupled cluster with single and double excitations and perturbative triples (CCSD(T)) valence electron calculations extrapolated to the complete basis set (CBS) limit with additional corrections including core/valence, scalar relativistic, and spin−orbit corrections to predict the atomization energies and scaled harmonic frequencies to correct for zero point and thermal energies and estimate entropies. Computationally cheaper calculations were also performed using the G3MP2 and G3B3 variants of the Gaussian 03 method, as well as density functional theory (DFT) using the B3LYP functional. The G3MP2 heats of formation are too positive by up to ∼6 kcal/mol as compared with CCSD(T)/CBS values. The more expensive G3B3 method predicts heats of formation that are too negative as compared with the CCSD(T)/CBS values by up Pubs.acs.org
Hydrides » Jun 30, 2023… The term hydride is commonly named after binary compounds that hydrogen forms with other elements of the periodic table. Chem.libretexts.org
Hydrogen | Properties, Uses, & Facts » Hydrogen, a colorless, odorless, tasteless, flammable gaseous substance that is the simplest member of the family of chemical elements. The earliest known chemical property of hydrogen is that it burns with oxygen to form water; indeed, the name hydrogen is derived from Greek words meaning ‘maker of water.’ Britannica.com
Hydrogen » …fuel, a human metabolite and a member of food packaging gas. It is an elemental hydrogen, a gas molecular entity and an elemental molecule. ChEBI. A … Pubchem.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov
